Short description of the group/project/topic of research
Our group has previously introduced new methods to shape and manipulate ultrasound. This has opened up the possibility to find ways to dynamically project ultrasound fields for instance via an ultrasound modulator. You will be developing new approaches and hardware for biomedical applications of ultrasound. Our focus are fundamental effects that allow new and improved ways to shape and control ultrasound.
Candidates should hold a PhD degree in physics, engineering or biomedical engineering, or a related field, ideally with a background in ultrasound. Experience with ultrasound technology, multiphysics simulations, computational modelling of wave phenomena and experimental microfabrication skills are a clear plus. We offer a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment and access to state-of-the-art facilities.
