Projects aim at developing labelling methodologies and novel fluorophores suitable for use in living cells and tissues with the latest nanoscopy approaches in particular MINFLUX. Projects are highly interdisciplinary and are carried out in close collaboration with the physicists and biologists from the Department.

Candidates should have an excellent track record, high motivation, broad scientific interests and will join a multidisciplinary and international team. The ideal person must be able to work independently and enjoy working in the lab. We offer excellent laboratory facilities. Payment is based on the TVöD guidelines. The position is initially for three years with a possibility of extension.

YOUR QUALIFCATIONS

  • PhD degree in chemistry or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of critical thinking.
  • Experience with photonics, fluorescence, imaging or biochemical methods is helpful.
  • Relevant postdoctoral experience in chemistry or chemical biology is also of advantage.
