Short description of the group/project/topic of research

The Department of Complex Biological Interactions is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a keen interest in Genomics and Evolution of Carnivory in Mushroom-Forming Fungi. This project employs comparative genomics to investigate how carnivory arose in Basidiomycetes. Through genomics and comparative genomic analyses, we aim to identify the genes and genomic features critical to the evolution and emergence of a predatory lifestyle in mushroom-forming fungi. Candidates should possess a strong background in comparative genomic analyses and evolutionary biology, along with demonstrated experience in these areas. The ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team is also essential for this position.
